Did not go in, but the outside was stunning! It's at the top of a very steep street, which is lined with souvenir stalls.

Stunning cathedral with great photo opportunity but sadly the cathedral was closed due to refurbishment. We came on a Saturday and there was the most amazing street market which went for ever. Very enjoyable

It is a nice street to visit. Note that it is not straight but going up (or down) the hill The street has a number of restaurants (a bit expensive) ,a lot of people selling souvenirs.

If you are in Kiev you must listen story about this church and the river. It is hard to describe this architecturall beauty, simply, must see.

Very nice cathedral but unfortunately now closed for refurbishment and no public access allowed. As many other buildings in Kyiv it's very powerful and a great landmark. The surroundings are very nice, and it's strongly recommended to take the cable car to the hill top...More

The MOST STUNNING Cathedral overlooking Podol. The street next to the Cathedral has the most entertaining and gorgeous walk/views imaginable.

Include Andiyivski Descent in your Kiev walk. Ideally start from the top and walk down to Podil, then take the funicular up to St Michael's. Much to see, antiques, paintings, crafts and people watching.
