Very attractive tower

Just 100 meters from the residence of Princess Ljubica. Soft music playing inside gives the church a much warmer feeling. The tower is the most attractive feature of the church.

As I understand this is the oldest Orthodox Church in Belgrade. Lovely exterior with romantic spire you can see from all over the city. Beautiful but dark interior with glittering icons. The nicest church I saw in Serbia

There is a peaceful and contemplative atmosphere in this small cathedral. There are several beautiful icons to admire and the ceiling is beautifully painted. When I visited wonderful choral music was playing quietly over discrete speakers. And you can light candles for your family and friends. All in all a truly peaceful experience.

I visited very quickly on my way to the fort. It's very pretty inside, much more complete than st. Marks or the temple but not so many visitors.

We didn't know what to expect in a Serbian Orthodox church so this was an interesting visit. We went on our own but it would have been better with a guide as there is no English information apart from a very brief multi-language leaflet.

Free entry. Photography needs to be discreet. This is a functioning church, so please be aware of the worshipers who come and go while you are visiting - I stand to the side if there are people praying and wait for them to leave before I start gawking at the artworks etc ... !!! ... I can't get enough of... More

Another Cathedral under construction in Belgrade. Take a look. Nice photo ops from the outside. And just behind the church is one of the Nato bombed buildings.
