This is a large museum with extensive collection of Romanian Artists and others. If you are short on time, focus on local art (the rest can be seen in other places). One has to devote a few hours to get the best of this place.

This beautiful building is home to the National Museum of Art in Bucharest. On the lawn around the building are sculptures done by local artists. In my opinion, the building itself is a work of art.

This is worthwhile a visit if in the area. We had a look at the Romanian part (European art is in another wing and has separate tickets) and a temporary contemporary art exhibition (again with separate tickets). There is a lot of medieval religious art...More

This museum offers a wide collection of art, with icons, wooden doors and other religious objects. It is not crowded in the morning but opens only at 11:00 am in summer.
