Been to many old towns in the world, this was kinda dreary/drab. Could do with a lick of paint or clean up. I don't mean it was dirty just not an attractive place although people where friendly when approached. Shopping not good, maybe different in the summer.

I definitely recommend a visit, since this place is full with nice old-style architecture, but unfortunately not all buildings are well-kept / renovated. I heard That it's because of earthquakes - they can not renovate That building will fall in the next earthquake. It's full with pubs and bars so I think it's much better for "party people". Also paving... More

The action here seems, at first sight, to be around the clubs and bars. Whatever floats your liver! But look carefully and you'll be able to drink in the delights of Dracula. Spot his bust outside, then go inside and enjoy a museum devoted to the remains of Count Dracul's palace. But maybe not a nocturnal activity for the faint-hearted.

So the old town is like the city centre of Bucharest. On weekend nights, the place is full of bars and nightclubs, extremely vibrant, full of young people wanting to party and dance their nights away. So it's like basically a long passage with nightclubs on your left and right. And somewhere in between, there are restaurants, coffee shops, shawerma... More

This place is really interesting and near a lot of touristic sites... It has also a lot of bars and restaurants, and stores of typical things or regular ones like h&m... Its nice to walk and try to find the churches hidden in the new buildings... I went there about 3 times...

We came in New Year Eve and we hoped to see beautiful Old City, but we were dissapointed to see only pubs and and old dirty buildings..government not taking care off the old city at all.. So from tourists view there is nothing to look for in the old city.

Not much of it left. The horrible dictator tore it down to make his palace. What remains is cool though.
