We took a very nice walk through some park. Although it was very cold we were determined to see the Arch before we left the city. Once there we were not disappointed. A great photo opportunity and a wonderful monument.

Quite a long walk out of the city center to here but I think it was worth seeing while in Bucharest.

Built in 1935 to commemorate the fallen of WW1, the arch is a replacement for the original one which was constructed in 1922 from wood. There is provision for visitors to climb to the very top - however, it appears that facility is rarely open.

Beautiful surroundings to walk and relax. Great decorations on festivities and all of December. Nice, pintoresque "cartiers" nearby. Next to Herastrau Park and Museul Satului.

Oddly, this Romanian version of Paris' Arc de Triomphe is NOT along the Romanian version of the Champs-Élysées. Interesting to see as you drive by, but not worth a special trip.

We drove by the Arch a few times and really admire the fact that it looked just like the original one in Paris

It is definitely worth seeing. I've never tried to go in, as it has never been open when I've been by. It is a great place for pictures!
