Probably the most touristic street in the whole of Bucharest. Did not understand the fuss about it as all the streets in the Old Town have lovely bars and restaurants.

It may be the "heart of the city" to some but it's just too full of questionable people and bars. Not a place to venture at night for sure, unless you like that sort of thing. Not the type of Romanian culture I wanted to see.

Ok area. Lots of contrasts between old style churches and modern or communist buildings. Fascinating stories about how some buildings were moved whole to save them.

Avoid this place, especially at night and even further so if you're with children. Drug sellers and pimps will flock to you like disgusting flies offering you their shady "products"

I did not know enough about Romanian food before going, that was my mistake, so I had a bit of hard time. This street was the answer - it has multiple restaurants from all types of food and origin. As it closed off and cobblestoned, the ambience is great. Often there is a street musician and you can eat inside... More

The most important street in Bucharest's old city center. It shows principles views of what is Bucharest old town. Interesting points should not forget to visit are: the shewolf monument, the ARCUB, Carturesti Carusel Bookstore, Lipscani theatre and Banca Națională României.
