Raging we did not get to see the inside of this museum as it was closed when we rode past. we did however get to see a lot from the gates. Looked very interesting indeed.

Lovely little museum. Although you have to pay to take photos which was a little strange. Otherwise worth a visit if in Romania

I just wanted to add to other reviews. I had a pleasant one hour visit today. I was interested in the more modern collections - these are not actually in the main building, but out the back behind the outdoor exhibits. In two other buildings. For my visit the top floor of the main building was closed, so I don't... More

This was on my list for all who love military history with the conflicts the country was involved with.

The exhibit starts with first stone tools right through to today. Romania has a rich history that contradicts my education as a lot of former communist countries. Even their weapons have the intricate Romanian artistry that was prevalent pre communism. You could actually tell from weapons and uniforms when communists took over even if not told. I just hope they... More

Loads on show from ancient armoury to cold war rockets. The lay out is a bit disjointed but just go into every doorway as it may also be part of the museum. Dont take photographs unless you have paid the 30 Ron or you will get some abuse from the staff. The outside exhibits are the most interesting IMOP.

This is more than a military museum. Sure there are tanks in the courtyard and a building full of uniforms and weapons but the main building is more an archaelogical cum historical museum. The exhibits are well set out, presented in chronological order and with English explanations. They have thankfully avoided the curse of all archeaoligical museums in that they... More
