Unique pavilion
Mar 2021 • Friends
Visited it for this first time during covid19 pandemic yet felt pretty safe. There is an exposition going on now yet this space offers itself for many different purposes. Nice and unique.

what great discovery! first the outdoor architecture, even if she’s kind of cold, is pretty interesting. indoor there were an exposition about sport and art, which was also nice! one of the receptionist makes me the visit and give some places to see in zagreb in the week-end she was so nice !
all I can say is to go to this place, it deserves it !

cold but interesting

it takes quite a walk from the centre of town, but this intriguing building hosts some unusual exhibits... it was even transformed into a Mosque with minarets in the past, then returned to its function

Great building, unusual exhibiotions
Feb 2019 • Couples
I like this amazing building both from the outside and inside. It is a masterpiece of art. I have visited it for the first time as a part of the Night of Museums. There were three art exhibitions inside. Two were strange and not so interesting ang the third was so-so.

I was here few years ago at the Coffee & Choco Festival. It was really great! A lots of exhibitors, cheap souvenirs, products made of chocolate..
A nice park arround for a walk. Dogs are allowed.

Great Building and Art
Aug 2017 • Solo
I just happened to stumble upon this while walking in the wrong direction.

The building it self it very beautiful inside and out.

However I also enjoyed the artwork that was there at the time.

They had the usual "symbolic" artwork that looks like a two year old could have done it, but they also had beautiful artworks that required actual skill in their chosen medium.

To top it off entry was really cheap only 10kn.

Interesting building poor exhibition
Feb 2018 • Couples
We visited this building to see the Nikola Tesla exhibition.

The building is interesting and has a limited number of interesting permanent exhibits.

The Tesla exhibition is really naff. Not certain what it is trying to tell us. the display is very arty with some interesting exhibits and a lot of flashing lights and loud music. It is sort of biographical but says very little about his work. It is supposed to be examining his mind, in which case he had serious problems. The projected videos are strange and it is unclear what they represent. The interactive parts of the exhibition did not work very well, if at all. There is an audio guide but it is unusable because the background soundtrack to the exhibits is so loud.

I have seen the Tesla Museum in Belgrade and learnt much more there about the man and his work. But don't mention that in Zagreb as it may offend.

Nikola Tesla exhibition
Dec 2017 • Friends
Been here in December during Nikola Tesla exhibition. It was iteresting, not cheap, bit worth it. I would suggest to plan 2-3 ours to see (hear on audio guide) everything.
If you expect to see Tesla's machines, you're wrong! I was hoping for the same thing too, but it's still interesting.
Some of the devices don't work, some of them maybe do but you don't know how to use them and there's nobody to explain to you.
You can see a lot of stuff INSPIRED BY Tesla's ideas.

Nikola Tesla and Ivan Meštrović insulted by poor management
Dec 2017 • Couples
Pavilion deserves a visit for the name of author and his work alone. It is worth to study it in advance to know and understand it better.
The current exhibition of Nikola Tesla is an artist’s view about the genie and a great work. If interested, plan more than two hours.
The entrance fee is not cheap but the concept would justify the cost.
Problems are in the details. There are not enough recorded explanations for all the visitors so why do they still charge and let the visitors in. The English translation is not half the original text in Croatian language. Both texts sometimes stop in the middle of the sentence.
Most of presented experiments don't function.
The male toilets just show the complete attitude and the women part was not better ...

This building was design and built by famous Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović. It's first purpose was art gallery. During Second World War it was used as mosque, than as museum and today it is again art gallery. Very nice pice of architecture. Must see
