About
The Croatian Design Superstore & Café is a concept store perfect for those in search of quality souvenirs and items of exclusively Croatian design. Shop fashion products and jewelry, gastro goods, kitchen & tableware, home decor, lighting and furniture, books, stationary, and much more - all designed by well-known (and those who are yet to become known) Croatian designers. The Café that is situated in-store is a unique place used both for casual coffee-sipping or afterwork drinking, and coworking. During spring and summer the cafe has a charming terrace on the sidewalk. Make sure to pop by, there is usually something going on in the store - new designer products promotions, talks with designers, musical and/or gastro events, workshops etc., and it is all open for public.

The best Croatian design scene has to offer
Apr 2017
It is not a shop. It is a tourist attraction. Since we do not have design museum, it is certainly the best place to start with. Equpped better than most of the museum shops i have been to I would reccomend everyone to stop by to shop unique souvenirs and domestic brands. My latest catch was this supernice limoncello! Cheers!

Manage expectations
Sep 2016
I support this concept very much.but I would say manage your expectations before going. The issue with the place is that's it's actually a very small boutique type place rather than 'superstore' so the selection on display is very limited. You won't be spoilt for choice let's put it that way. You need to also know that with shops like this they tend to be overpriced. So keep that in mind too. But perhaps that's the price you pay for something 'different'.

more of an intriguing boutique

I was expecting a floor or two of heady merchandise - so was surprised by the petite scale of the shop at first. However as I focused in on their displays it became clear that the emphasis is on Croatian, and not necessarily "super store". favorites were: inspired tote bags, edgy tailored clothing, juicy wool furniture and locally hewn modern pottery. This is a must see store in an up and coming design district of Zagreb. little cafe is inside too.

A hipsters paradise

Walked in, walked out after 5 minutes. Not worth the 5 minute walk from town!

Would recommend for people who need wooden sunglasses and brittle wooden combs.

So sorry to hear about your dissapointing experience at Croatian Design Superstore! We do have much more than wooden products at display that could interest you with their design concepts. If you ever happen to be in town again, we would love to prove you different! Thank you for your review!

Feels like home!

At the Croatian Design Superstore you can always see something new and witness something creative. Whether it's the way the waitresses are wrapping up or serving the yummy daily specialty, or the design team from the Studio upstairs decided to have a spontaneous brainstorming session or photoshoot! Another great thing is the scope of excellent design products and super-helpful staff. Every product that's in the store seems carefully picked and presented, bringing the entire shopping experience to a whole new level. A definite must-go in Zagreb!

Great spot for moments and gifts from Croatia.

This shop was closed the first couple of days of our stay in Zagreb so I wound up running over the morning of our flight home and shopping like made for about 20 minutes before running to the hotel to pack. I bought a couple of great shirts for myself and some gifts. Everything in the shop is uniquely Croatian. So skip all the tourist trap hotels near the main square and head here for your gifts. I only regret that I didn't get this great bag that sums up the Croatian experience: Croatia -- far from Russia, close to Italy.

Excellent design collective
We could have bought the whole store. Great team of designers, all of whom have a diverse and well developed style. We bought some stuff and talked about their work and they ended up bringing out cake while we chatted. Not to be missed.

Top spot for design lovers and others!

A very cool place you would rather expect to see in Berlin or London than in Zagreb. Here you will not only find the full spectrum of Croatian design (books, gastro gifts, clothes, lighting etc.), it's also a great place to have a drink at the coffee bar and meet Zagreb's creatives.
