As a tourist upper town is nice to visit, however, in the lower parts, most time is spent walking the parks enjoying, all the different venues during the Christmas festival, not to mention all the wonderful museum/galleries etc on offer.

The historical centre of Zagreb is magical. The streets are always full of people and there are many places where you can stop for a drink or something to eat.

City walking tours abound for the new visitor, otherwise plenty to do and see every day. There was a children's concert a few nights ago and yesterday the Advent Market shops were starting.

Not really much to see in Lower Town that you haven't seen in another place. However, since it is one of the highlights, it becomes a "must see." Check out the section that sells clothing as you might find something interesting and inexpensive.

We walked throughout this part of town and found it alive, with a character of its own. There is a beautiful church as well as places offering handcrafted items for souvenirs. More importantly, you get a good idea of daily life as well: there is...More

Take time to look around the Cities Central Square, where lots of markets and events take place. A great place to sit and have a coffee whilst people watching.

Lots of interesting places and buildings. The market was awesome and the fruits are cheap and fresh. The flowers are beautiful
