We walked up to the upper city, and visited the various áreas there. On the way back, we decided to use the Funicular to come back down to the lower city. About 50 euro cents each, we went into the cart, and will admit that it has a curious view. Anyhow, it moved us from upper to lower city within... More

We love these short line trams and funiculars. This was a lot shorter than most we've been on. But even the three minute ride was a kick. It sure beats walking up or down that slope by stairs!

This was a relaxing way to head up to uptown and it was free which was a plus. I would recommend for just a short moment to relax and enjoy the view.

Apparently, riding the funicular is sort of a "rite of passage" for 5 year old kids and their moms in Zagreb :) It was free during the Christmas season, so we rode up as well. Nice views over the lower town.

Ride the world's shortest finicular (literally) and get a nice view of Zagreb city. There were some nice views once you reach the top. Even during the busy Advent celebration we didn't wait more than 10 minutes. Sure you could walk the steps but it was a fun and novel way to head up the mountain.

Was in Zagreb on the first weekend of Dec'16 and being Friday, the ride was free (can you believe that!! :) it's a short ~5 minutes ride to the top and suddenly you're in another world - it feels so quiet up there away from the hustle & bustle of the city center down away. You can stroll around, explore... More

A quick and cheap way of travelling from the main town to the old town. On a clear day views are fantastic. As much a tourist activity as a means of transport. Try to disembark at the top as close to before midday as you can on any day for a big, loud surprise.....!

Rode this Friday day time and it's free Friday/ Saturday of advent weekends! How enjoyable! Takes a few minutes to the top and then you have great views over the city! Highly recommend:)
