The mosque is the onliest in Sofia. Outside you could see some ruins of old Turkish bath. Nowadays this place is so crouded, whole day could meet many emigrants from Arabic countries. If you aren't Muslim, better not going in.

Would have been good to get inside- which is allowed-but not when we were in the area. Mosque, Catholic Church, Synagogue co-exist happily in Sofia.

Untimely visit, its minaret and main mosque is undergoing renovation when we visited Sofia. Standing still above the ruins of the ancient city of Serdika and sitting side by side with the Synagogue, Orthodox and the Catholic church in the opposite blocks, these places of worships reminds us that religions and ancients civilzations have helped shape the world making mankind... We went and prayed Dhuhr here, the main prayer hall was being refurbished so used a side room. The management were incredibly friendly and allowed us to enter the main hall to take some snaps

Visited it pre-renovation, not sure if it was in need of a facelift, small mosque with an amazing history, the only Mosque in Sofia... Visited between prayer times and got to pray in the mosque by myself, a peaceful experience

This is now the only functioning Mosque in Sofia and is a good example of Ottoman architecture. It is currently undergoing renovation although you can still see some of the original features. When I first heard the call to prayer I thought it was a lot quieter than I have heard elsewhere then I later found this was a deliberate... More

A nice mosque in the center of Sofia. It is quite a small one. I think it should be renovated a little bit. Worth visiting it.

Very old mosque, in need of renovation. With great location, being adjacent to thermal baths, this mosque was, and still is, in the heart of the city.

Other than the fact that this mosque is quite old, there's nothing unique about it. It's rather run-down, not well kept and the person in charge there was VERY rood to some female tourists. You might as well skip it.

It was quite disappointing to see this mosque. Apparently, it is going through some renos. Very poorly kept interiors and the room being used for prayers was dirty.
