I'm very sad to say this was the worst part of my Sarajevo trip. I spent several months to plan my trip to Sarajevo and I really wanted to visit this museum to see the famous "Haggadah"... I bought the ticket and when I asked...More

Museum is in 4 parts. The front building is majestic in it"s own right and had interesting "lumps of stuff" & loads of dug up jewels. I particularly liked the ethnographic building & display, 6 rooms imported from various affluent families. The rear building is...More

The exhibits are nicely done, offering insight into the region, its culture and its history. It would have been even better had all the exhibits, similar to those in the archeology section, contained explanations in both Bosnian and English. Also a shame that the section...More

The Zemaljski Muzej is west of the Parliament building. It is a fascinating place to see the many pieces of Bosnia & herzegovina's history. In the middle there is a botanical garden, where you will find many of the endemic flowers and plants found through...More

The garden, and the departments of ethnology and archeology are a must-see. The departments give you a taste of culture and history, showing the movement of people on the territory of today's Bosnia.

A small museum that has a variety of exhibits. Excellent photos of the forests in different stages on the top floor. Sadly it was shut for over 3 years and only reopened recently due to lack of funding so needs visitors to keep it open....More

In Sarajevo, they will charge you admissions for all kinds of lousy, badly set exhibits. Skip that and go to a real museum. It's beautiful, informative and translated into English. Their archeology collection is great, medieval jewellery amazing. Natural history part is rather old fashioned...More

Been well described by previous viewers .. excellent displays and easy to spend a couple of hours. Have seen things here have not seen elsewhere. Another institution that benefits from ongoing support from us .. go visit it .

The displays in this museum were fantastic the archeological section had items totally new to me , the natural history a treasure trove of stuffed animals was mind boggling some hundreds of years old. The insect display again so plentiful and comprehensive. The minerals display...More

Unlike other reviews, I was really impressed with this Museum. It is divided into four parts i.e. Archaeology, Ethnology, Natural History and Library. I only made it through the archaeology and natural history part of it. The interior of the museum is beautiful with columns...More

Hi, When we were there end of May 2017, we have seen the Hagaddah. It is in a little room apart from the other exhibition items, and we could go in the room.
