Good to know that there are just as many Muslims as well as Christains/ Catholics in Sarajevo and the presence of this cathedral is a sign of this. Do drop by this cathedral if you have the chance to as it was one of the places where Pope John Paul II spent and contributed his time..

I am not sure what to say about a church. It is just a church. You should probably take a look if you are not a Roman Catholic, or you should go inside and spend some time in a silent prayer. It's a typical church, big, nice, calm.

A very nice church! It's interesting to see christian churches in minority (in relation to muslim mosques). You can't miss it as it located right beside the main road. I suggest you visit it (even though it is nothing special on the inside). There is also no entrance fee.

it is pretty interesting to see cathedral in such a city. weird monument of JPII in front of that place and not too rich inside, but definitely worth seeing. I especially like hot this building sits on a slope.

This review gets somewhat personal: my husband is Sarajlija and I am the daughter of a Herzegovac. Neither of us are religious at all but there is typically a day when we honor those who are no longer with us by visiting a couple of Bosniak graveyards and laying flowers and in my case burning candles for my father (and... I would say, don't go out of your way to see this cathedral but if you are on a walking tour, it doesn't hurt to go in and see it.

After I visited Gazi Huzev moskey, I left the old city and went to the cathedral. it is located across a park and the construction is majestuous., breathtaking. You can feel the Holy light inside the cathedral. Holly Mary looks like she is alive and rady to speak to you. I have got so much peace in my mind and... More
