Historically a predominantly Muslim town, this delightful stop on the way to Mostar is worth the effort. There are many steps to the top of the ruins of Počitelj, shallow steps for easy climbing but slippery in places. But the striking views from the Kula...More

Pocitelj is a small place, but it is worth stopping there as the road between Mostar and Capljina was the most beautiful drive on our holiday in Herzegovina. We didnt stop at the mosque, but hiked to the ruins on top. They are not particularly well...More

If you are driving to Mostar, this is worth a quick stop. It only takes about twenty minutes to walk all the way around. Its a nice little 'town' with beautiful old buildings and mosque. Nothing to go out of your way to see though.

This old turkish village is one of otoman very last settlements on the road to the Adriatic sea. Well preserved with very interesting architecture. Fantastic for photo sessions.

Nice small stop-over on the road to Mostar, very good looking old town and fortress, no tourists running around, good views. Nobody asked about any entrance fees, so we walked around there like 45-60 minutes.

We got talking to a Bosnian family on the plane from London and they told us we needed to visit Pocitelj if we were going to Mostar. This is an ancient old town in the mountains of Bosnia, and while it may have been affected...More

This is a city with origins in 14/15th century, suffered a major damage during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina 1992-1996 but being rebuilt. Origins are from before Otomans ruling, with aditions arriving with the new masters. Most part of Pocitelj has been restored but...More
