The mosque is still in use today and it contains the original paints and wood carvings since of its beginings. Is easily accesible and open for everybody

Not that old, building started in 1789, it is one of a few survivors of a communist era. The building has a number of very nice frescoes on the outside as well as inside. It's a working mosque. Be aware to respect the building and its function. It is well worth your time to visit the inside. The front room... More

Be Sure to enter it, it is very interesting and it will take just few minutes to look at it. If you are here, take off your shoes and go inside, you wont regret it.

Step inside this small, unassuming mosque and you'll find incredible murals on every surface, right up into the dome. The paintings of an unidentified city are particularly interesting. Free.

Pop in for a minute to view the painted walls and ceiling. Like with most Tirana buildings, if you are near something, pop in. Don't make a special trip since it's a small mosque without any standout claim to fame! Saw this during the free Tirana walking tour and interesting to learn only 4% of Albanians actively practice any religion.... More

Tiny mosque, one room with some writing on the walls. Must remove your shoes upon entrance. The attendant pointed in an unfriendly way to a basket for me to wear a veil in my head. Upon exiting the room we got our shoes and my husband sat on the side, touching the carpet. Two attendants nearly jumped on him, gesturing... More

This is a lovely little mosque in a central location, with a long pedigree. Entry was free and, although women were expected to cover up their heads and arms, the locals were not too fussed about absolute and strict compliance if the ladies made an effort to respect the norms. In our view, the mosque is the most interesting place... More

There is some beautiful artwork on the walls inside--very rare in mosques. They leet women come in with short sleeves and no scarf even though they had robes on the side.

Located in the center of Tirana near the Skanderberg Square. This is a unique mosque influenced by ottoman empire architecture. There's no entrance fee required but you just have to dressed properly to enter the mosque to respect the mosque.
