A statue of some significance in terms of the resistance towards the end of World War 2. Good depiction of the fighters involved.

Wherever you are you find a monument like this. I am sure that it is important for locals, perhaps not so much for tourists. But it is nice to see it.

Communism era statue, propably someday it will be more important to Tirana. Today it serves more as a local point of orientation to the city.

Maybe Tirana will become famous one day for it being one of the few places in the world where there is still socialist realism art to be found.

It is now possible to identify all combatants of todays conflicts. Every town and village has known and unknown people who were sacrificed by something broadly short of justice that turned out in an unexpected way worthy of respect. The displaced fighters and dislocated peace that came to result in unidentified violent death may be deserving of the brass monument.... More

I went there about noon expecting to see workers lined up looking for work, but only saw a bunch of old men sitting on park benches. The monument itself was probably worth a photo, but was not memorable. Luckily it is just a few feet from the other sights around so there was no real loss of time. You can... More

The place is to populated and it isn't clean enough and the part around is full of real estate agents, mason, porter etc. seeking work. It isn't a quite panoramic place like it has to be.
