If you visit Tirana, this is a must visit place. You will understand better the culture and the whole country.

We loved the museum, but there wasn't much (in English anyway) about the Communist era after WW2 until the mid 80s. Maybe they don't want to talk about it?

This museum is closed as the main square directly infront is being refurbished. You can still see, from a distance, the mural above the entrance which depicts communist solidarity/workers.

This is a very informative museum and an excellent rainy or hot day activity. I suggest 3-4 hours if you want to see everything. I found the cold war exhibit the most interesting and that is closer to the end as I remember.

The museum enable the visitors to understand better the national history. Some parts were lacking English translation. Otherwise 5 stars.

Every visitor have to Visit National Museum in Tirana to have a clear idea form ages till in Communism period. It worth visiting it.
