Great day trip to get you out of the city

We had been to Papeete before, and had 1 full day to spend here off a cruise ship, so didn't want to waste it just walking around the city. We had an excellent day, on a 4 wheel drive tour, out of town along the the valleys, saw beautiful waterfalls and went up high to get an awesome view over... More

We were kind of disappointed by coming to Tahiti from Moorea. The island seemed overcrowded, noisy and busy with traffic. All this bad first impression was gone after our full day in wilderness with Terremoana from Aratai Safari. Our wonderful Polynesian guide was able to show us the beauty of real Tahiti. He not only showed us the spectacular views... More

Our captain decided to change our itinerary to arrive in Papeete a day early. I emailed Tahiti Discovery to ask if he could change the date, but he didn't receive the email in time and we didn't know he had already begun another tour. I decided to walk to a 4x4 truck in the lot near our cruise ship, and... More

We tried to get a tour with Discover Tahiti Tour, but he was not able to take us. The bare chested tour guide made a phone call to a friend of his that is just starting out in the Tour Business, Teremoana (Terry for short). It was a very nice thing for Discover Tahiti to do, for us and for... More

My husband and I did a sunset tour and it was absolutely a must-do! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, as was everyone we met on our adventure. We had to reschedule a few times because the weather was not ideal for a great sunset--and we were glad we waited! All of the staff was friendly and accommodating to... More

Took a full day tour and loved it. Up and down the mountains, into the valleys, cross the rivers and swim in the cool streams. Had a nice light lunch after swimming in a pool fed by a waterfall only to realize it was home to some of their sacred eels---WOW!!! A day well spent with an excellent guide in... More

We spent the afternoon with Daniel our guide being driven around the island. It was just the best. He's got great local knowledge and his four wheel driving skills are tops. Some of the tracks were a challenge but he negotiated them well and we loved the experience. Bora Bora is achingly beautiful. So glad we did this

What a marvellous journey in a 4 WD way up about 4000 ft into the centre of the island. Although the road was pot-holed and bumpy, our young male guide was more than able for it! Although it is still the 'dry' season, the waterfalls, although not completely 'flush', were lovely to see in the distance, cascading down. A nice... More

Take lots of bug spray. The drive into the volcano was interesting but not spectacular. Our 4WD driver was excellent but everywhere we stopped we got attacked by mosquitoes.

It was a stunning experience to see the inland of Tahiti. Waterfalls and mountains. The guide was very informative re the plants, fruits etc.
