This is one of the most important and historic buildings in Fiji. Hosts the Parliament, High Court & Appellate Courts and many Government Offices. Inside the courtrooms and the parliament one would admire the grand architecture. Not a major tourist attraction as mostly it is official business. Must know the way around to visit, otherwise you would barge in whilst... More

It was good to see - not sure if there were tours inside. But worth a look. The front grounds are pretty and good photo opportunity.

I've been there for a variety of reasons and found it very confusing. Mostly because of the inadequate directions I get each time. The buildings host the high courts and many judicial offices but not all courts. Juvenile and civil courts are held in wooden buildings out the back, completely out of sync with the rest of the complex. It... More

Have a look of this stunning building, take a walk in the garden, visit the statues of important founders of nation, and if you have time visit inside the building. Was very surprise of this nice sample of the Art Deco style in the middle of pacific ocean.

The Government Buildings in Suva are the offices of the executive wing of Government of Fiji. The lovely Art Deco buildings were built in the late 30s. Now they house the Prime Minister of Fiji's offices, the High Court, and government ministries. Alos, very nearby located the Fiji Museum.

The area gave me an appreciation of Fiji's efforts to fight for independence. It provided insight on the structure of law-making bodies and cooperation among them:)

Within walking distance of the Holiday Inn, Grand Pacific Hotel and Fiji Museum, you can easily fit a visit to the Government Buildings and Fijian Parliament during your daily walk. At night they turn on the lights for a decent photo op. During the day you can visit the Parliament if it is in session or you can relax on... More
