We took the waterfall trip with Lino Cappuccino and had an awesome time. Lino is a very funny man keeping us in stitches the whole way. He provides a very informative walk through the village and helped us through the steps in a Kava ceremony. We felt very welcome in his village and were very happy with everything he provided.... We booked a tour with Lino cappuccino who is 200m right from the Warwick hotel beach. What a fantastic tour guide and person. Lino took us to the primary school where the students sung to us and welcomed us into their school. Next we went to the Village where Lino lives. Such an eye opener and amazing experience. We went... what wonderful people and country. veronica [ Leno's sister] organized our day. we were picked up and taken to the village, given welcoming ceremony, met many Fijians in the village and started our walk to waterfall with a wonderful guide, Filise Matabogi. Filise explained many facets of village life, customs and ceremonies before we left. As we were walking towards... More

We stayed at the Warwick in January for 8 days and had a wonderful time. I had done some research before we left because I was aware of the hefty prices resorts charge for external tours. Lino Cappucino's name came up on a community website as a recommendation and I was given details of where to find him. As all... More

I called Lino and within an hour he arranged transportation for me and 6 others 🙌🏻 (great start). We went from Sigatoka to his village (30min?) where I had the most authentic Fijian experience touring the village and was named chief of a kava ceremony 😄 (fun times!). After that we took a beautiful hike to a waterfall which we... More

Initially Nino said the trip costs 60 FID per person. After negotiations, we paid 100 FJD for 2 adults and a 15 year old boy. I asked the lady who was the tour guide how much she could get from that 100 FJD. She said she could get nothing but would expect to get tips from me to support her... More

This was such a great day, including a welcome ceremony to the local village, a brief tour of the village, and the walk and visit to the waterfall itself. The walk was flat, however did involve numerous river crossings. These were no problems, however be aware your shoes will get soaked. Our tour guide was great! He interacted great with... More

We booked this tour through the villagers on the edge of The Warwick Resort for FJ$50 per person. We knew as well booking directly through them the money was going straight to the village rather than most of it staying with the tour companies plus it was 1/3 of the price. They came and picked us up from the resort... More

Cannot recommend highly enough. Lino is the consummate guide, raconteur and ambassador for his beautiful country. You don't get any more authentic a tour of the village of Baisevu than waving to the tour guide's 85 year old mother as you walk past his house. Lino promised our Waterfall Tour with him would be the highlight of our stay and... More
