This is a must do when visiting Raro. In full swing every Saturday morning, all the little stores are open. Plenty of food stalls and craft are on sale. Also lots of local cultural singing and dance is on display with great colourful costumes and live music from locally made drums and ukuleles. Go early because by 11am they quickly... More

These markets are great. Lots of local merchandise and heaps of choice food wise. Friendly stall holders. Good place to pick up souvenirs and grab something to eat. Glad we went quite early in the morning because it did get extremely hot.

This market is a mixture for both locals and tourists, many stalls with locally made sarongs ( Pareu) and wooden carved items, food stalls for all tastes and live music on the stage with local girls dancing traditional Cook Islands dances - just terrific! It's well worth a visit on a Saturday morning but get there early, about 0900 if... More

This is a busy Saturday market and you really do need to get in early. We, unfortunately had torrential rain while we were there which curtailed our browsing a bit, but there was still plenty to see and experience. A lot of the fare on sale is very similar but still well worth a visit. Friendly locals mix with tourists... More

It gets very crowded and it's so hot and no shade! Plenty of parking ........street parking just before the market. Much of the same "stuff", clothing, pearls, food and music. When in Rarotonga it's something you just have to do.

Great market. Has a very good vibe, relaxed and friendly. Watching the singing and dancing whilst eating tasty food and wandering about the stalls was good fun.

Vibrant place to visit and something for everyone to see, taste and view. I purchased kai/food !, special gifts for my friends. My partner was lucky to get a mother of pearl taonga necklace, which I had engraved underneath, this service happens within minutes :) I met up with a friend and lovely lady Chantel Napa, who runs Chantel's Concierge.... My hubby and I knew about this market before we arrived in Rarotonga and were told by several people here to go to this market. The atmosphere was brilliant and it was overly crowded so we couldn't easily walk around. It had everything from souvenirs to food to a cultural performance. It's not like the markets you find back at... More
