Tristan Narvaja Fair is established every sunday in Montevideo and from the early hours the place is too crowded you have difficulty to move a couple of steps sometimes. Uruguayans like to take the things easy and slow and that place is the peak of...More

We have lived in Montevideo for 5 years, and this is one of the best experiences the city has to offer. Antiques of every imaginable sort, a mix of crafts, clothing & shoes, fruit & veg stalls, used books and vinyl LPs, a variety of...More

We were surprised at the amount of stuff here, old and new, fresh and aged, all combinations. The grilled sausage was excellent. Even had multi 10 window VW vans for sale, though the prices were outrageous

My husband really wanted to visit this, although we have been to many around the world. It was no different except there were a lot of live animals which concerned me. Very crowded with people and junk.

Very busy lots of walking required but worth it. Nice antiques mixed with things for your daily needs and a lot of fruit and veggie stalls and other food. Every Sunday. Don't miss.

Grey Sunday in July but still spent an hour wandering around the street market which would be a very handy place if you wanted to set up house in Montevideo. Being a traveler I was more interested in people watching with mainly locals clutching their...More
