Recommended to start the day or to see the sunset. The place sells a lot therefore it is advisable that you always carry a sweater.

It is beautiful at night when the sun is going down. It is extremely safe, clean and a wonderful walk. Highly recommend going here.

What a great place to take a stroll! Right next to the water, so relaxing and an excellent way to appreciate the city.

The rambla makes for a good evening walk to enjoy the sunset and nice breeze. You'll be able to mingle with the locals socialising around a cup of mate, playing football, fishing, etc. Too bad for the big road right next to it.

Rambla is a very long strip so you can walk it in a nice day. I like to go to ramirez Beach and watch the sun set.

The rambla gives Montevideo its character and is a joy to take a walk, a run or a bike ride anywhere in it. The city seems to be centered around The Rambla, the views are great and is always full of people just enjoying it

A great place to walk. Everybody goes to the Rambla when the weather is nice. Bikers, walkers, joggers, and picnicers find it a great way to spend a nice day.

Sorry, no idea. I recall seeing several membership type gyms. Perhaps a Google search and inquire if day passes are available. There are many public parks with facilities of various descriptions, though I don't... More

Looks like I'm missed you so you might have gone already. It would be quite a walk from the port to the Rambla, but you could. Maybe about 25 minutes. It's very safe during the day though. Great town.

You can stay at soffitel in Carrasco, nice hotel and walking distance to restaurants and boutiques. Regarding security, yes you need to be careful, thats, it!
