Nice bar, nice music, but not so nice food

A small place at the old city, where you can listen to local music and see local tango. The food, however, is not so good.

Although this place attracts turists it looks like it receive locals in the same ratio. The music is from South America overall with some tango and bailarines jumping in several times. The experience is amazing because of the music and the vibe. The night I went the service was terrible, with only a couple of waiters for the entire saloon.... More

The place is very rustic and traditional. The music and artists are great and really funny. The tango dancers are amazing and can do wonders on a 2x2m floor! The food isn't that great, but it is a bar after all. Definitely a good place to sit and enjoy Uruguayan folkloric music.

Went with family and and Zambian friend who came to visit us to Montevideo. We us to take her somewhere to listen some tango. Fun Fun is a very welcoming place, nicely decorated with the stage just by the tables. The tango singer and guitar player are just great and very funny. And the tango dancers!!! In such a small... We made a reservation and had Seats towards the back since we got there at 9:30. The food was OK.. Just dried and typical bar food. Drinks were fine, but the show has a lot to be desired. The tango dancers performed routines lasting a total of 10 minutes and left. The last tango show we attended was 2 hours... More

Went to Baar Fun Fun because we heard so much about it and we weren't disappointed. It seemed to have plenty of locals comingled with we tourists. This is not a "restaurant" this is a bar that has food. If you want fine dining - do that before you get here. GREAT atmosphere - and apparently the place was established... More

the name conjures up images of club 18-30 but nothing could be further from the truth. like other reviews have said, get there early if you have no reservation. We managed to bag a table with a great view of the small stage, where there some tango dancing and later an accordian acoustic guitar duo who were joined by a... More
