You currently do not have to have a guide. Many people entered without a guide when we were there a few weeks ago. From what we heard that rule will not be enforced until next year.

The sunrise hotel was in Aguas Calientes we were also in the Beldmont hotel which is right there next to the ruins is the only hotel next to the ruins ..
