Hiked there after visiitng the citadel and Inca Bridge, rocky trail so mind your footing. Some nice views of the citadel along the way. Not too many hikers but it is well worth the hike.

Machu Picchu is amazing. We did Rainbow Mountain and Machu Picchu via the jungle trek. The only issue is that we had a HORRIBLE tour company for Machu Picchu. DO NOT use #actionmachupicchu as they are incompetent and liars. They did not book us tickets...More

Our guide book recommended this short hike to the Sun Gate and it was perfect. Enough of a walk to feel like you have done something but not too strenuous and plenty of places to stop for shade if it's a hot day, which it...More

Intipunku or the SunGate is a beatiful place to admire Machu Picchu. It´s the point where the the Inca Way ends, and it was the entrance to the city in the XV century. You can go with the same ticket that Machu Picchu (no extra...More
