Located west of the main square, this sacred temple is known for its huge walls and three trapezoidal-shaped windows through which the sun's rays would pass illuminating the "Sacred Plaza" beyond.

This just demonstrates the detail that the Inca went to when building this incredible Citadel. The jointing and positioning of windows were so important to the Inca.

This was good affording a good view of the valley. It was just nice sitting there and soaking in the atmosphere.

So much history surrounding the area. A good guide will take you to each area and explain the history of these long forgotten people. Explore and keep asking questions.

So beautiful to see something made so long ago still standing. It was really cool to look through the three windows.

These people were craftsman and even today it would be difficult to build on this site the increadable stone work we see here.

We went early and not that many people where in the area. This is a very good time to take photos. You can do wide angle and telephoto.

You find it on the walk around of Machu Pichu. It is quite incredible to see the structures on top of the mountain. You can see some of the Incan walls and engineering at this sight.

The Incas were incredible engineers to be able to build this with simple tools. Part of the Machu Picchu site and if you walk round you can't miss it.

Whilst walking around the site, you will come across this. Check out the size of these rocks, it is a wonder how they may have constructed this place.
