According to our guide, the two close windows were used as sections to place statues or other things inside. Whereas the 3 opened windows were there to allow the light of the sun into the rooms. Just beautiful!

Wonderful area of Machu Picchu, good for taking photos. Amazing history and engineering involved in the creation... Very helpful to have a guide explain many aspects to this site.

Another of the great buildings in the Machu Picchu area, makes one wonder again at their ability to move these huge stones and get them so perfectly fitted in place. It helps having a guide to make sure you see all these sites.

There are many impressive buildings in Machu Picchu and this one is one of the best. I was not sure what was the purpose of this building but the views and stonework is extraordinary
