While visitors were mostly locals and school groups, this is an informative place to visit if you want a good summary of the history and cultures, of Peru.

This museum is incredible. I could have stayed much longer but was with an excursion viewing the wonderful pre Inca exhibits, ceramics, the textiles and organic material were fascinating

This is where we went on our first day of touring Lima. It was a nice museum, inexpensive, and it gave us a good sense of some of Peru's history.

This is a very well done museum, though some parts are more "up to date" than others. There are other Plaza Bolivar's in Lima, so make sure you go to the one in Pueblo Libre, not the one near the Plaza de Armas.
