Amazon tours and Amazon cruises on the upper Amazon River and its tributaries, and the rainforest, from Iquitos Peru. The Dawn on the Amazon Tours and Cruises riverboats are big enough for you to be comfortable and relaxed, but small enough to access the tributaries and lakes where larger cruise ships can not go. If you have an extra day in Iquitos before or after your cruise, Dawn on the Amazon also provides fun, interesting, and educational day trips. Thank you for your consideration.

Dawn on the Amazon is now mainly the wonderful restaurant, and excellent short trips in their small boat.

This was by far our favorite restaurant in Iquitos. Fresh, plentiful, delicious food in a pleasant location on the waterfront. Warm and friendly staff are always helpful. We also took an excellent trip to the Belen market with Jino. So smart, kind, and Incredibly knowledgeable! We were very well taken care of, had three staff with us, so we ways... More

We took a 3-day tour of the Amazon rainforest with Dawn on the Amazon in December, 2016. It turned out to be a private tour for 2 of us, as no one else booked during our slot. Our tour guide Jino was excellent, talking about life in the area and pointing out animals along the way. We saw pink dolphins,... More

I did the one day trip to Belen markets and Amazon River cruise. A motokarro to Belen markets is 5 Soles and getting some boat probably 50 Soles So why pay more for this tour? (Disclaimer: it's worth every penny!) - you'll get an excellent guide knowing his city and its surroundings and ecosystem. (Jino) - he speaks very good... More

My boyfriend and I went on a river cruise for 3 days and 2 nights at the start of our three week trip to Peru. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Jino the guide was enthusiastic and so knowledgeable. They made the whole trip completely personal to us. We saw so much wildlife; dolphins, monkeys, birds, fish and we had... More

We went for a 5 day camping trip into the Pacaya Samiria reserve organized by Dawn on the Amazon. Everything was more or less as advertised - we needed one full day to get there, travelling by car and boat and one day to come back. Also while there, we did not really see any other people rather than the... More

We had a tour the day prior to this trip and had seen all the primary sites in the area, so that left Gino with the need to be a great planner. Well, he came through with an entire day of places to see. We were picked up at our hotel. The boat captain Edson, Gino, my daughter and I... More

This was one of the best trips we have ever taken. The Dawn of the Amazon is amazing. We had a wonderful captain, great guide (Gino), and Judy an amazing cook. This was all for just a family of four. They went all out for us to see and experience the amazing Amazon! I cannot recommend it enough! Bill, the... More

We booked a one day tour with Dawn on the Amazon and were so happy that we did! Our guide was amazing! He was so enthusiastic, funny and had an enourmous knowledge of the flora and fauna of the Amazon and rainforest! We thus learned so much that day. The total group consisted of 3 couples, an ideal size for... More

What a pleasure to work with Bill at Dawn on the Amazon. I originally booked a cruise through another tour operator that proved to be unsavory and only concerned with its bottom line. In distress, I discovered Dawn on the Amazon and Bill on Tripadvisor and began making alternative travel arrangements through Bill. Bill responded promptly to my emails and... More
