This review is for the trip from Cusco to Puno. Our tour agency booked this bus trip for us so I can't comment on the price or booking experience, only on the trip (tour). We were pickup up early in the morning from our hotel and transported to the bus station. The station was packed with people but the bus was ready for us so there was no need to wait at the station. We had two large backpacks and two small ones. The large ones were stored for us and we hopped on the bus. We had assigned seats but were allowed to change them once we pulled from the station. This was the whole day trip but seemed like a perfect tour day, not a road trip. The bus was very clean, very comfortable, the driver, hostess and the tour guide looked sharp in their uniforms and were very helpful anwering questions, overall very professional. The ride was really nice with multiple stops on the way, visiting a church, some musems and the Raqch'i ruin site. It was really enjoyable, we also stopped for a lunch buffet. The time flew by and before we knew it we arrived in Puno. I especially enjoyed our guide: knowlegable about the sites and with excellent language skills: switching from Spanish to English in a blink of an eye. I was very impressed!

We paid for 2 bus trips with this company prior to leaving Australia, Cusco - Puno and Puno - La Paz. Correspondence via email was efficient and everything was set for travel. However with Cusco - Puno our supposed booked transfer from hostel to bus station did not arrive so we missed the bus resulting in an expensive taxi fare to meet the bus at it's first destination. We had to pay half the taxi fare even though Peru Bus Tickets were at fault by not booking our transfer as they had previously advised. Secondly our direct Puno - La Paz bus was due to arrive in La Paz by 2:30pm but on arrival to bus station we were informed that the bus does not arrive in La Paz until 5pm at the very earliest. As we had an international flight to catch we had to arrange ourselves a local bus in Copacabana to get us to La Paz in time. We managed to make our flight by the skin of our teeth thanks to a great local bus driver who could see the panic in our faces and understanding airline officer. I suggest you not book anything prior to arriving in South America and book things as you require. (This was our first trip to South America.)
