Amazing cooking class!
Dec 2019 • Couples
Yilmar took us on a tour of San Pedro market, allowed us try some of the local foods, showed us the best places to pick our produce, and taught us some of the history of what we were seeing and trying. He was amazing and his recipes are fantastic! I can't wait to try everything at home. Make sure to come hungry because you will leave full!

Perfect cooking class
Nov 2019 • Friends
First we went to the market, bought vegetables and tried different fruits.
Afterwards we cooked together. We learned a lot about Peruvian food, especially potatoes, chillies and fruits.
We had a lot of fun.

Great Evening!
Aug 2019
My family (including kids 14, 12) took the Peruvian Cooking class and had a blast. Went to San Pedro Market to get ingredients (great to go with someone who knows his way around) and came back to make Ceviche and Lomo Saltado (oh yeah ... and Pisco Sours.) We had a wonderful host/chef, great conversation and an all around great time. I'd been skeptical before we went, but in the end I loved it. Am I a Peruvian chef? Of course not ... but we had a great time!

Fun evening in Cusco
Nov 2016 • Family
We were looking for something a bit different to do than we normally do in a tourist city. We decided to take a cooking class with Cusco Cooking and had a wonderful evening. We started with a walk to the local market where we choose our foods that we were going to cook that evening. We also were able to try some exoctic fruits not found at our local grocery market. Katia was a wonderful and informational hostess for the evening. She shared the culture of the people and the foods we were cooking. We were able to clean, cut ,prepare and cook most of the meal. We had a a corn crème to start with followed by the local dish Loma Saltado along with Pisco Sours and finished with a chocolate fondue and fruits to dip. It was a wonderful family adventure that was not only dinner but entertainment of a different kind.

We visited the chocolate museum and found out about the class. we made chocolate drinks from raw beans, then went ahead and made our own tasty chocolates. Well worth the $75 soles or $25 USD

chocolate making classes
Nov 2014 • Friends
We had great fun in Cusco at the Chocolate museum which also offers chocolate making classes. We tasted chocolate tea, hot milky chocolate with cinnamon and cocoa with chilli, and then made the chocolate paste for our own sweeties to take away with us. Good entertainment and a change from serious museums as we all had a good laugh.

The staff are light hearted, making the session fun and informative.

And we got to take away our own little goody bags full of chocolates we had made ourselves!

Great food in a great setting
Nov 2014 • Solo
After a little research I decided to take this cooking class for the great traditional menus, staff friendliness and a great set up! It started by choosing the menu and checking the ingredients. And then a tour of the market to buy the ingredients needed. It was really good to visit the market with a local insight :)
When I got back to the school we started preparing the several dishes and I participated very actively in all the processes!
It was an amazing experience, a delicious meal and a great way to get in touch with Peruvian culture!
