7 am Mass on weekday, only the serious local devotees are awake, and a few faithful tourists of course. Hopefully you are lucky you hear the enthusiastic organist, Mass is usually in Spanish. Great art, and notakings pics

Amazing architecture and finery. Definitely do it with a guide- nice to visit on it's own but you'd miss SO much fascinating information about it's history, the history of the local religion, the explanations behind the different icons, paintings etc.

A large place to go around. exceptionally uncommon place, particularly with the burial section. You get a strange mixture of feelings of awe, wonder, surprise . You get more wonderstruck in the age old library with a large collection of books from times immemorial. Great experience.

Gorgeous cathedral with dramatic architecture and wonderful art work. This is one of the most spectacular cathedrals in South America and should not be missed.

We stopped at Cusco to get acclimated to the altitude before heading to Machu Picchu. This Cathedral is beautiful, inside and out. Lots of artwork but its pretty dark inside.

Spectacular Catedral w/ magnificent altars and artwork. A must see while in Cusco! The underlying history is amazing, but the pure visuals are unmatched.

Great place to visit, large amount of art work and easy to follow guided tour. The only thing no pictures allowed but I can understand why. So no harm done. Definitely a place to visit .

Our schedule was such that we could only go in the morning during Mass. Gorgeous art although side altars were dark...to discourage tourists during Mass. Last supper with Guniea pig is to the right of the altar up high.
