A little bit of Heaven

This is one of my favorite places. My wife and I love to stroll through at night under the soft yellow lighting or just sit at the fountain and relax and watch the people pass by.

Wonderful open plaza for relaxing and people watching. Many good restaurants, shops and tourist trinket outlets surround the square. It also boasts two lovely churches . Excellent photo stop.

Make sure you check out all there is to do in this area, not just the main square but the small streets as well. If you don't take a city tour, it's worth going inside the Cathedral, so much detail and history!

A beautiful historical center with restaurants, cafes, banks, churches, and museums, etc around. I didn't have any safety concerns. Only negative are the number of people trying to sell you something, but they keep moving with a polite no thanks.

Cusco, the seat of the Incan Empire, is a lovely city. Houses are built up the slopes of the valley and even a short trip can entail a steep climb. Trudging up a narrow street, hemmed in on either side by high walls, the place may seem forbidding. But doorways pierce the walls and upon crossing the threshold, gardens and... More

Gorgeous Town square, nice shops and restaurants. Artists of all varieties are there, selling their items in the square or in shops. Enjoyed an open air market featuring local artists' wares.

Loved Cusco and barely scratched the surface. It is full of tourists, but what else in such a historic and beautiful place. People want your business, but don't hassle you.
