We used Incaventura for our visit to Arequipa and we were left very satisfied with the whole experience. We communicated through Nikola who had answers to all our questions, was very polite and very quick to respond. We booked the Arequipa Homestay Nikola recommended as well as a 2D/1N trek of Colca Canyon. The Homestay was excellent. It was in a quiet neighbourhood about a 10 minute walk from the centre and our room was spacious, clean and the shower was hot! The family who own the Homestay were lovely and we managed with our limited Spanish. The breakfast in the morning was spot on and we had it on the balcony that overlooked the stunning mountain range of Arequipa. Nikola met us in person when we arrived and briefed us on our Colca Canyon trek. The trek was stunning and it was a steady 25km over two days. It was demanding in places but overall a lovely trek. Our guide Melissa was very friendly and was knowledgable of the area and the history of Colca Canyon. The logistics went generally smoothly and we saw the Condors in the morning before the trek. They are huge. The only hitch was there was a mix up with the minibus on the way back and it took a lot longer to get back. Overall a wonderful experience and I would fully recommend Incaventura.

This company will provide you with a quick response to your questions. Anja is always willing to help. The organization and coordination for the climb was excellent. My chief guide German Valdiva was very professional and I was in good and safe hands for the climb. The driver and porters were great and provided me with a great camping and enjoyment. How they carry all that gear is amazing. You will actually stay with the family who owns the company in rooms that are attached to the business. So you get a real cultural experience as I met the family and friends during my stay...very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this company for your adventures in and around the Arequipa region.

We had an excellent experience with Incaventura when climbing El Misti in April 2018. We contacted them by email and Lisa was very quick to respond, very friendly and very helpful in answering our many questions. Our guide for the climb, Angel, was friendly and very helpful. He knew exactly how best to help us with the climb, when to take breaks and when to offer gentle encouragement (and coca leaves!!). This climb is tough, mostly due to altitude, so I would definitely recommend using Incaventura as they offer you the best possible chance to make it!

Incaventura and my guide Angel Rene did a great job guiding me up el Misti. The trip was professionally organized, the driver and guide showed up precisely on time to pick me up and everything was as advertised. Angel was very knowledgeable about the mountain and the landscape, was friendly and conversant in English and knew how to keep the trip moving smoothly. I recommend Angel specifically. I had a different guide in Chile and Angel was way better.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. My wife and I only had 4 days in Peru and we wanted to maximize our time there. So I looked for a local tour company. I inquired with all of the top ones and Incaventura was the ONLY one that replied to ALL of my numerous questions, queries and change itinerary. So right there and then , before I even met them in person, they gave me a real good feeling they would take good care of us (which is NOT the case with the other travel companies I communicated with in Peru). Needless to say, my decision to let them take care of us in Peru was the BEST decision ever. They help tailor our itinerary even if it was a bit crazy and were very supportive throughout the process. So they picked us up in Arequipa (after an overnight flight from MTL, via Lima). We then drove through the Lagunas di Salinas, the Valley of the Volcanoes and ended up in Chivay that night. The sights were incredible and we were lucky to be guided by Jose, who knew the country side and roads like the back of his pocket, providing us with insights throughout. The next day, we visited the Colca canyon and enjoyed all the sights, the local typical Andean villages, and the condors. We were lucky it was a sunny day because the sights were out of this world. You just have to be there to understand how majestic these mountains are! then we flew back to Lima, where we stayed in Barranco (a fantastic neighborhood). There another Jose took us around Lima and showed us some really cool sights and shared some insights too. That was fun. And then on that last day one of their drivers, Edwin took us on the craziest day trip ever: Ballestas Islands, Paracas National reserve and Huacachina Oasis where we did some dune buggy. We left Lima at 4:00 AM, yes 4:00 AM and returned that evening at 20:00 so lots of driving, yes BUT the sights , oh my god the sights were completely out of this world!! Such a contrast with the majestic mountains of the Andes. Edwin took such good care of us throughout the day, never complaining of fatigue whatsoever, always present and waiting for us and making sure we saw the best sights . It was so fascinating to realize that Peru has all of these great natural sights. We unfortunately left the day after and Edwin drove us to the airport, picking us up on time as always and making sure we arrived on time. EVERYONE at Incaventura kept making sure we were satisfied. It was great to have a local private guide because they always provided some key insights about the culture, the sights, the timing of some of the visits, etc. and made us appreciate Peru even more. Thanks to them our trip was truly UNFORGETABLE. Since January was not the best time to visit Machu Picchu, Cusco, Titicaca because its kind of rainy at that time my wife and I would definitely want to come back for another trip and you can be sure 100% that we will request the services of Incaventura. Thank you so much Anja, Jose, Jose and Edwin.
