Nothing unusual inside the cathedral but of course it is a matter of taste. Not over the top baroque.

You need trousers and a shirt that covers the shoulders for this. Tour is very informative and very interesting. The bells are awesome, as is the organ and the fact that so much is standing after al the earthquakes

The cathedral is really interesting and the guided tour will show you the main cathedral, the amazing organ (we were lucky to hear it being played), the 'treasure room' and take you up to the roof for spectacular views. Our guide was very nice and...More

I don’t really know much about this cathedral other than it was designed on the side. It was designed to have the side of the cathedral to look like the front but the main entrance was actually on the side. It’s absolutely stunning to see...More

Beautiful cathedral! Beautiful central square right outside. I would recommend going inside after 3 pm when the main entrance is open and it’s free admission. If you go between 5- 6 pm you can also sit inside and listen to the organ being played.

The only way to see most of the cathedral is through the museum a day guide. You pay entry separate to the guide, whom you pay at the end. Great artifacts and religious items from their collection, most of which are no longer in use....More

This building is fantastic both inside and out. You must have a guided tour (no wandering around on your own) which can be a little annoying as it comes with additional cost, but the views and decor are well worth it. The pipe organ is...More

Plaza De Amas location closed to traffic locals and tourist area for taking in the sights. plenty of restaurants/shops in the square. restaurants mostly 2nd floor and there are hotels above the restaurants. one of the restaurants we ate at waiter offered us room $40/night.
