We did the cooking course on a small group of 3 people. We cooked causa rellena and lomo saltado. The food was good, but the preparation was really simple. The dessert was already prepared, so we didn't do anything at all. They promised to send us the recipes by email, but they never did. I requested them once, but never... More

The class was very well presented and easy to follow. The food was amazing and although the price of the class is quite expensive, this also counts as your dinner so all works out in the end. Really good fun and something you will take home and try. Definitely give it a go!

We ended up having a private cooking course as we were there in low season. Chose the traditional menu with lomo saltado. Picked up some great ideas and really enjoyed cooking. It would have been nice to have been given a bit more background info about the dishes (history, culture...) But saying that the chef did answer any questions we... More

We cooked the seafood menu in the course. So we cooked the starter and a main and got a dessert afterwards, what we did not cook by ourselves. The food was good, but in my opinion is was expensive for 70Sol per person. The course was 2 hours, the food good, but for the price I expected more than what... More

Sorry about not having the right price for you. Our price covers settings, supplies, support staff, the cook and some earning for the company. We keep small groups in order to have everybody participating. It's a cultural experience, not a night in a backpackers place. And we strongly support sustainable tourism. Twenty dollars is a fair price. Of course, your... More

Donning the hat and apron was the first hint that we would make something great! The instruction was thorough, and we definitely made a dish we will repeat at home. Flavors are delicious, and the Peruvian hospitality and friendship is felt during the whole experience. Would recommend to anyone.

So happy you enjoyed our cooking experience! Its a cultural souvenir we want you to receive with love. Not merely a class as you experienced. All the experience is completed if you stay in Casa de Avila Hotel, place where the activity takes place (a good discount is applied to guests) and if you also take the market tour and... More
