Took the teleferico in the morning in Quito. It goes really high above Quito and provides a great view if there are no clouds. It's about $9 USD so not cheap. If you don't hike to the top of the Volcano you'll probably only need an hour at the top.

This is one of the best experience you can have while you visit Quito. Make sure to go early since storms and rains are frequent on this place. Breath deep and normally because oxygen level is kinda low because the high. Do not panic and enjoy it!

If you're afraid of heights, close your eyes until you reach the very top as the trip up is steep. Once there, you have a picturesque view, if you make it before the clouds fog everything up.

Go early before the storms start brewing. The view is absolutely breathtaking! It's a great attraction when you first arrive as it will really give you great perspective on how ENORMOUS Quito is. It's rather remote so be sure you Ha e your transport lined up. We payed our taxi to wait.

Go early or wait in LONG lines. It isn't that expensive and once you reach the top 13,250 feet you quickly learn how hard it is to breath. The views are stunning and allot cooler up there as well. But not being use to the altitude can make you feel out of breath. Take the horse back riding up there... More

This was a great experience, little scary once you get really high up there. Make sure the day is clear so you can get a nice view of the city otherwise you will be going through the clouds and won't see much. Well worth it though for the view and experience.

Riding the cable car going was not really enjoyable as it was really cloudy as we got up there. Bring clothes that are warm as it gets chillier when you get to the top. I find that bringing snacks and water was convenient specially if you are not used to the altitude in Ecuador. I enjoyed the view the most

We used the Teleferico to ascend to the base of Rucu Pichincha, and that is why this could be a way to spend 6 hours. The ride up the Teleferico is well worth the visit, but its really the view from the top of the Teleferico that is memorable, vs the ride itself. There's not much to do at the... More

8.50$ to climb up and down while locals pay 4.90$ for the same ride. Just amazing for the view nothing else and not much to do on top!!!
