Dress in layers for it can get chilly. We took the line from Quito to El Boliche and the landscapes were wonderful. Much better view than you can get from driving the highway. The local people were out as the train rolled by the farms...More

My daughter was celebrating her 11th birthday and our guide recommended this wonderful train ride overlooking the numerous Ecuadorian volcanoes. We heard fascinating legends about the volcanoes. It was somewhat hard to hear due to the fair quality of the headset of our train guide....More

This was a great way to see parts of Ecuador. We left at 11:30 and got back close to 5. It can get cool so dress in layers. The staff gives some good insight into the region.

We did the Tren de los Volcanos and the train ride was OK but not as good as others such as the Devils Nose Train. It costs US$50.40 each. The train leaves at 8.00am and first stop is Boliche for some snacks (that you have...More

A fascinating different way to experience Ecuador. Not cheap at about $1650 US per person (double occupancy) but a great experience. Last time we did inland Ecuador we did it on buses with G Adventures and that was great and very close to the people....More
