impressive Navy harbour

Not only is the Navy Building a grand piece of architecture, but you can view most of the Chile Navy fleet in the harbour directly in front.

The Armada building is old but well presented and covers an entire side of the square . It is adjacent to several other well restored buildings including Victoria Hotel

The navy building is situated in the main square and is a beautiful piece of architecture. You can't miss it when walking in town.

The building is quite impressive. It is quite unique in the city image. It is a shame that it is on the very lame plaza with all the traffic around

It is appropriately coloured- as blue. It is a side of a great square, which I am sure you will visit in Valparaiso.

In a crowded square of Valparaíso near to the Aduana and the boat trips (totally recomended for just 5 dollars), you can find this amazing building that remembers all the fallen in "Combate naval de Iquique" and "Punta Gruesa". All the surrondings are beautiful architectural (various styles) and colorful grafittis. Is a really nice place to visit.

That was pretty much the only building that we liked in that part of town. It is located in a beautiful little square with tons of traffic on each side. Well worth the photo stop.

We went there on the day when buildings are made open to the public. Very opulent, similar in style to Club Naval. The tour was very interesting, but I couldn´t help feeling that we, the taxpayers, pay for all this!

I know everyone says it looks French but to me (I am French) it looks like a delightful powder blue Victorian building! We were there at the end of the day, the light was beautiful. It was such a great experience, sitting outside Starbucks, drinking our lattes, admiring the Plaza Sotomayor, go and enjoy!
