A beautiful place. Probably the best thing about it are the street fairs during the weekend, but it's nice on the other days too.

This is one of the older neighborhoods in central Santiago, very pedestrian friendly. It has lots of good restaurants of different styles and prices. We found ourselves having reason to go there several times during our week in Santiago.

Lastarria is a lively, bohemian quarter in the center of Santiago with a wide variety of bars, cafés and restaurants, as well as little shops. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, people here are rather young since it's located close to the university. Come here to stroll around and do some window shopping, it's a wonderful place to spend some... More

During my first visit to Santiago I opted to stay in barrio Lastarria. It is very centrally located - only a few blocks from the main Plasa de Armas. Hotel Cumbria Lastarria is a very good boutique hotel in the area. The restaurants are also top notch. Recommend Bocanariz and Casa Lastarria. From here you can easily discover Santiago on... More

I really liked this place because it is a different one, with good restaurants and artists on the street. It was cold and I have the most delicious hot chocolate I have ever had!

There are a lot of nice restaurants along this street. We took the metro to the Catolica stop and then walked up Lastarria to the park on the other end. There is a great ice cream place right before the park- Emporio La Rosa.
