This is a nice zoo, well maintained with a good variety of species. It draws attention to how close you can get to many of the animals. The ticket to get in and most of the food carts only accept payment in cash (or local...More

This is your typical old style zoo, where the animals are in cages that are too small. These types of zoo's depress me and I feel awful for the animals that are in there. If you are looking for something to do with the kids,...More

The zoo is not that big but it has nice collection of animal. And there is a nice small cable way which gives you a good view on Santiago valley and snowy mountains around.

There are very few good zoos in the world. This place is 100% NOT one of them. The animal enclosures are far too small, so small that there is only space for one animal, making them very lonely. The animals show obvious signs of distress....More

I am an animal lover and love to visit animal parks, but there are a few zoo's which leave you feeling sad. This is exactly that kind of zoo! The animals all have tiny enclosures with no sign of enrichment. Most enclosures are only large...More

Generally, zoos are pretty sad--except for San Diego. I have seen far worst, but still, this one is poorly maintained and the habitats are insufficient. However, the animals look kind of healthy for the most part.
