Nice Museum in Lastarri Neigborhood

This museum had both videos and paper photography of March Odenbach who addressed many serious subjects including genocide in Rawanda and Europe.

The exhibition is quite small and you will not spend more than 1 hour. The art is exactly as it should be for this kind - in my opinion. It is provoking and visually strong. Highly recommended.

This is a small museum of contemporary art in Lastarria, on one of the nicest streets in the neighborhood. It is next door to Hotel Cumbres, down the street from Bocanariz, and around the corner from The Singular. The building is airy, attractive, interesting-- and the museum entrance is FREE. There didn't seem to be a permanent collection-- it is... More

The museum is an interesting space but half was closed for a new exhibit. The works on display were interesting but some were difficult to understand.

To say this is the worst art museum I have ever been to would elevate it to the status of art museum, an undeserved appellation. Words I would choose to describe this flimsy excuse for a contemporary art museum are: shallow, vapid, amateurish, boring, juvenile, random, and pretentious. By the way, I love contemporary art. They don't have any in... More

This museum was located around the corner from our hotel. It displays a nice collection of modern art. Allow about an hour for the exhibit. Unfortunately, during our visit some of the rooms were closed for a new art installation. Would come back here.

Only exhibit currently showing is a German video artist. We went on Sunday so admission was free. There was very little explanation of the works. The collages were interesting but I was left wondering if there was a deeper meaning behind the apples made of multiple newspaper cuttings. I was totally perplexed by most of the videos. The space is... More

Most of the displays at this gallery were videos. It does take quite a bit of time even if you just watch bits and pieces. Nothing real gabbed me but such is the way with art. If you are interested in a short trip to South America see our not for profit blog havecarryonwilltravel.com. I believe there is a small... More

This wonderful building, currently exhibits work from two artists, is definitely worth going to - even if it's just killing time for 20 minutes. A nice place to lose yourself from the busyness of the city if only to look at some strange paintings. Entrance is £1, just go.

This museum is small -- when we were there it was configured for two exhibits only, and one of those wasn't open yet. But if you like cutting edge, exciting visual arts, it's worth a visit. The exhibit we did see was Claudia Bitran's "Deep Emotion" - an artistic shot-by-shot remake of James Cameron's movie "Titanic". The space is brilliant... More
