It might not be worth the effort to climb all the way up. I took the funicular going up, and was glad I did. The views are a lot better when the air is clear... I could see pretty well as far as the other end of Providencia, to the East. You can get in a pretty significant hike, if... More

We decided to walk rather than take the cable car or funicular. The path we planned to take was closed so we walked along the road for most of the way up. It wound around which made it less steep and gave us many views over the city. It is fairly "exposed" so bring water and wear sunblock. It was... More

We took the cable car up and the funicular down. It was a lovely 2 km walk to the base of the cable car Up top is a cafe and souvenir area so you can spend some nice time up there. We just sat and enjoyed the view around the city

This is a large hill in the Metropolitan park in Santiago. I took the cable car to the top and walked down from there. It took about an hour to walk down the hill but, the views of Santiago and the Andes are something you do not want to miss. At the top, there is a beautiful statue of the... More

In San Cristobal hill, You can see great view of Santiago. And it's easy to find and get, so if you don't have enough time to stay in Santiago, it would be one of the best choice to see and feel Santiago. You can go up by walk, bicycle, car, and tram. I would like to recommend you to use... More

Cerro San Cristobal is a must in Santiago. It's crowded in summer and you can wait quite a bit if you want to take the gondolas, but the view from the top is amazing.

A must visit spot on a trip to Santiago. Stunning views of the city and surrounding area. The funicular ride to the top is good fun.

Go up by gondola walk left and up the higher path to the statue. Continue on foot down to the funicular. The Metro is cheap and easy. Do your home work and enjoy the rides. PS never expect to go UP on the funicular is less than 90 minutes.
