We were met by a guard at the gate who told us in Spanish it was closed. That doesn't agree with what their website says. Since we couldn't converse with him, we didn't get any details. We were disappointed it was closed.

This museum is well worth a visit. It is full of memorabilia of Marilyn Munroe, with interesting aspects of her life, personality, clothing and her charisma. It portrays a view of Marilyn which is not the one we all know. It is inexpensive. Went there after visiting the Ralli Museum nearby, which is also worth a visit.

I visited during the "Mad Men" exhibition. I had been hoping to make it to the exhibition in NYC, but it just wasn't going to happen. So, when I heard it was in Santiago, I HAD to go! Museo de la Moda is part house museum, part fashion museum. Created by a titan of textiles in South America, this breathtaking... More

This is a beautiful building with a lovely garden, a quiet peaceful place. The exhibit that was on when I went was the Mad Men exhibit, showing clothing, cars and rooms from the years gone by. It was free to walk through and I could take photos. I wasn't overly interested in the exhibit but nice to take time out

It is an amazing and captivating place. I went there on October 21st, 2015 because just for the day the DeLorean was on display again (since it was the day Marty McFly came to the future). Also, the Mad Men exhibit was on display. The place blends fashion and architecture (it used to be the Yarur Bascuñán house) which gives... More

For those interested in fashion history this is an excellent exhibition. The displays are excellent and the video presentation is very informative. You only need an hour which includes time for a coffee!

Looked on the Website - no information about anything like opening times. Took a Taxi there - the guy at the door told me it was closed since a long time and there is no end in sight!

Encouraged by the reviews we went to the Museum last week, only to find out that it is currently closed until March. The guard at the entrance said that it was due to the collection being updated and repositioned. Net effect was that we wasted a half day trying to visit something not open at present. Apologies for the length... More

One's reaction to this museum depends on who you are and what you do. I went with a friend who is a women's ready to wear designer. He was delighted with the place. I was delighted he was delighted. Hard to find; we finally hailed a cab.

This museum is absolutely stunning! The building is gorgeous, the grounds very well kept. There is a cute cafeteria and gift shop to complete the visit. I visited a very well curated exhibit on outfits of previous world cups, it was really fun. The only down side was that more than half of the museum is closed and under renovation.... More
