I did the Los Lagos walk, but without the circuit around the lakes, was about 12 km, 4.5 hours in total. The forest is beautiful, I liked the smaller Lago Chico more than the Lago Verde. Beautiful araucaria trees! Easy to get to by public transport, take the bus that says Huerquehue from Buses Caburgua (c/ Uruguay in Pucon). If... More

This is not a short and easy hike but if you are moderately fit it is definitely worth the trip! I took the city bus to the park which was very straighforward and there 4 drop off and pick up times throughout the day. I would recommend taking the earliest bus and arrive at least 15 minutes before if you... More

A few different routes of varying difficulty, really should try to go when the weather is nice to give you some good picture opportunities. Three bus trips per day from a bus company in the city center.

Our family travelled 1.5hrs from Pucon to Heurquehue. GPS error added an extra 15 min. Road in is mostly gravel, with steep gradients, sharp bends and great views. We had a Subaru Forrester but most cars were 2WD. CONAF entry charge is approximately P10,000 per adult, children U12 free, with no credit cards accepted. Having an AWD meant we could... More

We went on the Los Lagos trail and the climb was a bit challenging but it was worth it. It took us 6 hours with both of the waterfalls and making the "small shortcut" at the end so not going to the last final lake. Take some lunch with you and have a swim in the lake :) it was... More

It is difficult to get to this pact. We drove up to it via a torturous path. We did not get the beautiful reflections of the lake but that may have been due to us going there in the later afternoon. The hikes are well market. If you have the time it can be a fun visit. I also understand... More

We did the lake walk which was a nice woodland walk. If you are looking for views then this walk is not for you. It is mainly through woodlands and there are only two viewpoints of the volcano. It was nice to get out of the sun and into the shade of the trees. It is easy to get here... More

Went on an all day, 6 hour hike here. Great spots for lunch along the lake, and incredible views along the way up. Glad I wore my hiking boots - couldn't believe there were folks in flip flops...
