A short trip from the city center lies the serenity of MacRitchie Reservoir, part of Singapore’s water catchment system that captures rain water to help supply the island’s growing population. Trails surround the park, which has an upgraded visitor’s center featuring a café, restrooms and information station. The best views are from the TreeTop Walk, a 250-meter suspension bridge across the rainforest canopy, which can be accessed along the seven-kilometer Venus Loop. Wear hiking shoes and bring water.

This trail was awesome! So easy and relatively close to get to by bus. I took the 980 bus near Bencoolan/Middle Rd and it took about 20 mins and it drops you off right in front of where the trail is. The trail goes in...More

Walk past the lake, via the MacRitchie trail towards the treetop walk. No sounds of the city, monkeys in the trees, very nice escape! You can even go for a canoe trip!

To get away from the city, one has only to step onto the MacRitchie Nature Trail and the one is enveloped in tranquility and a lovely area for a jog or hike.

MacRitchie is located in the central area of Singapore, just off Thomson Road. Well managed park with about 12 km round walk, including a tower to go up and a top tree hanging bridge walk. Walking this trail, you feel like you've left hectic Singapore...More

A lovely walk along the reservoir - great for the young and old and has a cycling track. Greenery galore.

There is a large area of woodland around the MacRitchie reservoir, with many paths. We only walked from the main car park to the Skywalk (about 45 mins walk for fit adults, not stopping to take many pictures, longer with children or keen photographers!), over...More

We went there with our 2 children who are 2 and 3. They enjoyed the first part of the walk but were soon in their pushchairs. This is a lovely reserve but more for fitness enthusiasts. The monkeys can be a bit aggressive also. Ice...More

I absolutely enjoyed the hike. It is a great activity for rainy weather too. Most of the trail is under trees so you don‘t get wet. Saw butterflies, birds, monkeys. The treetop walk is pretty neat too. Great nature adventuere. I would not recommend it...More

Yes trail is open on Monday but not the treetop section. You can easily do the trail and skip that section. Hope this helps and was fast enough.
