Holland Village Singapore is a hamlet tucked away behind the Singapore Botanic Gardens and is less that 10 minutes away from Orchard Road. This little spot has been referred to as Singapore's "Bohemian" enclave because of its variety of art and craft shops, art galleries, art framing specialists, street cobblers, gift shops, novelty shops, gourmet takeaway outlets, wine cellars, organic food outlets, custom-made shoes shop, imported kitchenware store, body waxing specialists, international school uniform tailors, master tailors, theme party clothing store, tarot card readers, ethnic home decor articles, fine dining restaurants and many other interesting shops. These outlets serve the residents of the surrounding upper and middle class estates. You can witness expatriate housewives spending their day here having breakfast, running errands, meeting up friends for lunch and enjoying a nail spa before shopping for groceries and heading home.Retail establishments are located along four streets and two shopping buildings. These streets are: (i) Jalan Merah Saga (ii) Holland Avenue (iii) Lorong Liput and (iv) Lorong Mambong. The shopping buildings are: (i) Holland Road Shopping Centre, which is along Holland Avenue, and (ii) Holland V Shopping Mall, which is presently being redeveloped, along Lorong Liput. These two buildings are often casually referred to by sales assistants as Holland Village Shopping Centre, which is a non-existent building. All these streets are within walking distances and it is a good place to spend the day strolling, relaxing in a spa, shopping, having the meal of your choice and seeing the world go by at one of its famous pubs.

Joined a guided walking tour during the weekend which covered Holland Village and Commonwealth Crescent. Walking around Chip Bee Gardens was a pleasant experience as I enjoyed seeing how the residents of the flats above the groundfloor shops decorated their balconies with plants, outdoor furniture,...More

After sundown, this is the place to chill and relax. It's not too crowded and it offers some diverse choice of food and drinks. There's open bars and pubs along the streets. Perfect for a night out with a group of companies.

This is an area with a lot of pubs and bars and at night the road is blocked and the bars extended. Good atmosphere but the beers are pricy. I would go again to this area for a night out.

Ambience was casual, open, cheerful venue in newly opened raffles medical group building . We tried braised beef cheek with cooked vegetables. Beef was tender and soft, very good tommy taste although slightly salty. Prices were reasonable.

Many of the village's patrons are expat professionals and their spouses who live in the area, which make up the regular core group of visitors to Holland Village's retailers. So, you do see a slight decrease in evening reveling and morning grocery activities during certain...More

Holland Village is a very lively area with lots of places and restaurants to eat. It is a nice area to hang out too, as there are many cafes and drinking holes.

There are many places to shop beside Holland Village in singapore. The standard opening and closing time is from 10am to 10pm. But many eateries open until past 12 midnight.
