Situated in the lovely Ngee Ann City mall, Takashimaya is a Japanese department store with a large array of goods on offer. Fantastic for shoppers. Coming from Australia, there are lots and lots of things to buy that I can't get at home.
My wife and I went our separate ways and met up 1.5hrs later. She went to the shoe section (didn't have time for clothes shopping) while I went to men's fashion. I bought two lovely shirts (on sale) and almost a pair of shoes but decided I have enough shoes already. My wife doesn't (haha) and ended up buying another two pairs of shoes for herself.
Well worth a visit. Always our first stopping point in Orchard Road.

We visited the Takashimaya during school holidays. The food stalls at the basement were not family friendly . We visited the Japanese food stall “OKOWA YONEHACHI” as a family of 4 including myself. We ordered 2 set meals for the kids as my wife and self had eaten a heavy breakfast. During the ordering, the staff attendant said only 2 pax can sit due to us not ordering 4 set meals. The time of visit was not during peak hours and less than 5 tables were taken and more than 15 tables were empty. Families with young kids should avoid.

We popped in to seethe cookies in Basement level 2 and were amazed at how many there were! Plus lots of tastings of cookies and tea everywhere. Pricey but a good souvenir to take home. And the floors have lots of Chinese New Year specials - I bought a Toscana handbag at 40% off. Plus I get the Gst refund at airport.

Takashimaya is used to be 1 of my must-go places in SG. But recently there is one female staff (Malay or Indian) at GST collection counter (8:15pm, 3 June) ruined my mood. I have to say most of the staff there was nice and helpful. But this person was rude, having attitude problem. That shocked me much that I’ve decided not to come back to Takashimaya to shop again.

Taking a break from my long-time-favourite, Kitsune Ebi Udon, I patronised Maguro Yukimitsu at Takashimaya food hall for the first time. I ordered the Ume Sushi Set which is wonderfully fresh n delicious. My experience would have been perfect if the staff on duty at counter were to bother to thank all their customers for self-returning their trays after eating. But, the staff just watched without initiating to thank the gracious customers.

Department store and mall that has everything you would need.
Top end handbags aside, I need wagyu and they deliver (be it via CS in basement 2). Also all the clothes and kitchen hardware you’d ever need.
Love it. Wish I could work there and get some staff benefits.

Had a very pleasant experience shopping at Takashimaya Singapore on 15/19/2021.a counter staff (cashier)by the name of Tiew Wei yang was very helpful .it was in the late evening n we could not find a Sales staff of Zebra stainless houses ware. Mr Tiew politely attended to us by going into the store to search for a new set for us .he came out to tell us that he could not find the item in the store .he did not stop there,he instead gone round the whole level of B1 to try to look for the sales representatives to help us.my wife and I were very impressed by his helpfulness politeness n customer service attitude .patiently he told us he could not find the staff and took down our name n phone n promised to ask the sales rep to reach us when the stock arrive again.his customer service really touched our heart n makes our day .it was a very pleasant experience which we have not encountered in Singapore for a Long time . Before we left we thanked him and complimented him fir good customer service.

I am always impressed at the Japanese retailers each time we travelled to Japan for holiday n that it has extended the good customer service culture to Singapore too.congratulations and well done to staff n management of Takashimaya.you will always have the loyalty of us as Takashimaya is always my most preferred retail mall .👍👍👍

I was even surprised the next Morning mr Tiew called to inform me that the stock n arrived And he has reserved one set for us . I was very happy with my experience on the 5th floor looking for a new laptop. I highly praise of Kenny Kwah who was knowledgable, friendly and welcoming. The brands available were broad and I was really happy with fulfilling what I needed

The food court here is the usual Singapore mix of eclectic and amazing.
There was a Food Fiesta beside the already impressive Food Court when we visited. Street food cooked in front of you and other ready to eat snacks to take home we’re available.
We’d been here previously to sample the Singapore staple of chicken rice and weren’t disappointed.

I recently had a disappointing encounter with Finnes that compelled me to share my experience. The staff exhibited rudeness and provided zero customer service. It's disheartening when businesses fail to prioritize customer satisfaction. I hope they can improve their service in the future.

Do you have a place for Muslims to pray within Ngee Ann City or Takashimaya? I know there is Al Falah mosque nearby, but its quite a distance. It will be more convenient if I can tske a break from shopping, pray and then continue shopping. It will encourage people to stay longer and patronise as they will not even have to leave the mall to pray.

You decide if you want a variety of things or just ONE thing.
Go all the way up and they have sports goods. Polo shirt, excercise gears, bikinis, goggles, just get the ones on sale.
Kids toys, mens socks and underwear, wonens underwear.
If you go household department, you can get water bottles, towels of different sizes, organic soaps and body lotions, air freshener, plastic food containers, plates, aprons, mittens. Parralell to the household department js stationery department. Clocks, pens, paper, bags, powerbanks, you can get all the above for $30
