Very cool and unique 5K hike
Jun 2021 • Family
Great hike from Henderson Waves (Mount Faber) to Kent Ridge across metal walkways and treetops. I would skip this hike during rain because the metal walkways get very slippery, and being surrounded by all metal in the treetops probably isn’t safe in a thunderstorm, but otherwise it’s a very pleasant and scenic height. If you go from end to end, it’s approximately 5k (including the Canopy Walk at Kent Ridge).

Great hiking destination for family and even with pets. There are proper toilet washing areas and water cooler too. Love the air there.

Awesome 3 hours hike
Feb 2021 • Solo
This hike can be carried out in parts or as a whole, and so it varies from an hour to three, depending on individual hiking speed.

I like to start at the beginning which is a short hike up mount Fabre near vivo city. I think there are about 4 entrances. Check your gps for details as it is not easy to describe in words.

From here the hike will link to the Henderson wave which is an interestingly designed bridge which is in the form of a length of wave. From here, you will get a great view of the Telok Blangah area from a high point. I think you can get a great sunset view from here but I never come then so not sure.

Continuing you will come across metal decking which offers a “tree top walk”. This leads to another bridge which crosses over to the Hort Parl. Another great attraction dedicated to plants and planting.

Heading to the rear of the park, there is a short climb which leads to BUKIT Chandu war memorial which is inside Kent ridge park.

From Kent ridge park, you can hike to science park and then to Ayer rajah industrial estate and to the One North area which is essentially a business park where you can find some restaurants. Nearest MRT is One North.

This is about three hours of hiking through road, hills, pathways and parks.

Enjoy.

Great walk and a view
Jan 2021
We parked the car at the foot of the hill and walked up and eventually into the Southern Ridges. Great and fantastic view at the top. You'd feel you had a great workout walk and a relaxing time as well

Beautiful lush green park
Dec 2020
One of my favourite parks, offers a good 9+ km hilly rich fauna and floral walking track at one of the higher locations of tiny Singapore. To the south, you can see the historically rich maritime shore of Singapore.

Lovely walk in the drizzle
Dec 2020
It was cooling morning, despite the drizzle, the air was refreshing the scenery was lovely. Walking on the skywalk, we saw flowers and birds on the crowns of the big trees.

I love this section of the park connectors

Really great part of the HortPark to Mt Faber connection. You walk above the trees or amidst the trees, with many shaded sections. Serene in many parts, and very little reminder of the roads and urbanity that is actually still very nearby.

Good Hiking Area
Sep 2020
It will take about 45 minutes to an hour to hike the whole route. Fresh air, greenery and if you would like, you can take a break at Gillman Barracks where there are food, drink and dessert options
